Is your solution based on Artificial Intelligence?

Luminoso is based on our AI called Quicklearn.

What product does Luminoso Offer?

Luminoso offers two different products: Daylight and NOW. Daylight is a no code text analytics application that instantly analyzes unstructured data. NOW is a done-for-you service.

What languages do we support?

Luminoso supports English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Indonesian, Italian, Russian, Dutch, Swedish, and Polish.

Should the languages be translated first?

Luminoso processes language natively and does not translate languages for the users, meaning a native speaker would need to do the analysis if the data is not translated prior to upload. For analysts who will only perform analysis in English, the text should be translated prior to upload.

Do we Identify each sentiment-bearing phrase and component? Can a comment be positive and negative at the same time? How is that defined / displayed?

Luminoso’s Daylight, our analysis and discovery application, processes sentiment on a concept level.  Opposed to the traditional sentiment approach at the document level. The Daylight approach with Concept Level sentiment identifies the context around a concept to understand the exact emotion around the concept/phrase. Luminoso doesn’t have any predefined dictionaries, allowing our approach to be very  accurate. A comment can have multiple emotions in an open ended response. For example, the phrase “the food was great, but the service was horrible”. Food would be recognized as having positive sentiment and service would be recognized as having negative sentiment.

Does our sentiment have ‘levels’?

The sentiment feature in Daylight provides a sentiment confidence score based on the content of the verbatim via the API. The Daylight UI displays documents for a given concept by sentiment sorted by confidence levels.

Can ad-hoc categories which trigger further actions be created (ie “Contact me please”)?

Luminoso’s Compass is designed for triggering automations based on verbatim content whereas Daylight is a discovery tool and does not have automated triggers.

How long does processing 1000 comments take?

1000 single sentence documents can take seconds to upload. Daylight can take a minute for short verbatims about one sentence.

What sectors do we have experience with?

Our AI is sector agnostic. Our unbiased application is used for product, HR, analytic teams and much more. We currently work with large healthcare, pharma, retail, manufacturing, and financial services organizations.

Do we provide dashboards?

Daylight has a UI that enables key reporting. You can export into formats compatible with most dashboard systems (csv/json). Some customers export through an API into Power BI or Tableau.

What data type feed can we process? Do we have access to internet data from social media or review platforms? Can we work with multiple data sources?

Luminoso can process any unstructured data from reviews, surveys, support tickets, etc. The user uploads a csv. file through an API connection. Clients have layered projects using data from different sources.

Can we customize the categories or add terms?

Daylight has automated categories but Compass would be built out by the company.

Is the interface in English?  Can anyone ‘program’ or ‘teach’ the solution or do you need training/specific skill sets?

The User interface is in English. Luminoso does supply a dedicated customer success manager who onboards users. The individual will ensure guided support throughout the contract term.

Can we set up a list of predefined categories?

The solution has many areas that can be multipulated. You do have the ability to create target lists within each feature.

Does our software recognize spelling errors?

Yes, we can identify spelling errors via the conceptual match technology.

Can sarcasm, proverbs and language specific phrases be taken into account?

Luminoso has the ability to understand slang, misspellings, and brand names.

What type of support do we offer? Are we available for bug fixing, error handling, and general support of the system?

The dedicated CSM/solutions engineer supplies ongoing support throughout the term.

Can we handle or do we provide voice-to-text?

Yes, once the voice has been transcribed to a text file.

Is Luminoso compliant?

We are SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 certified for Security and Availability. Luminoso has implemented internal and technological processes and procedures that are consistent with many HIPAA requirements.

Are audit logs available to my company in the admin console, dashboard, etc.?

Audit logs can be provided at a user's request through their CSM with plans in the product development road map to include it through the admin UI.

How does Luminoso ensure the separation of data among its customers?

All data is logically separated in the AWS cloud within the multi-tenant environment.  Non-Luminoso users are restricted from accessing data outside of their Organization, and only your CSM has the ability to access any customer data.  All employees are bound to confidentiality agreements.

How long does Luminoso retain data?

Customer Admin users may delete data at any time.  Unless required by applicable law, regulation or government order, all data will be deleted or removed from the Luminoso platform within thirty (30) days of expiration or termination of any contract.
